Safety Features
The new Subaru Outback has automatic pre-collision braking that, in case of an emergency, helps avoid or reduce the frontal impact by issuing the driver an alert and applying emergency brakes. The Outback also boasts top-quality steel for enhanced crash safety. It contains eight airbags with height-adjustable head restraints at every seating position.
Additionally, the Subaru Outback has an advanced adaptive cruise control with lane centering that helps with the steering, throttle control, and braking, depending on the distance the driver has chosen to keep from the other vehicles.
Technology
The Subaru Outback has a blind-spot detection system that alerts the driver once it senses a car in the driver's blind spots. The rear cross-traffic alert system warns the driver if traffic is approaching while traveling in reverse.
Also, the Outback offers a smart rearview mirror with auto-dimming, HomeLink, and a compass to give the driver a wide-angled view of objects behind them. The reverse automatic braking tech allows the SUV to stop by itself to avoid any object behind you.
