At Southern Oregon Subaru in Medford, we are pleased to introduce the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. The Crosstrek is Subaru's compact crossover SUV with all-wheel drive as standard. New for 2023 is the Special Edition model. This edition has khaki-colored paint, dark gray trim, and 17-inch wheels. Inside, there is a special black and red upholstery pattern. The Special Edition has a design that will turn heads as you drive around Grant Pass.

2023 Subaru Crosstrek Performance

There are three different powertrain configurations for the 2023 Crosstrek. At the lower trim levels, there is an engine with 152 horsepower and 33 miles per gallon city with 28 miles per gallon highway. At the next two trim levels, the engine gets 180 horsepower, 34 miles per gallon in the city, and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. A six-speed manual transmission is standard for the Base and Premium trim models. A continuously variable transmission is optional or standard at all trim levels. Standard all-wheel drive makes Subarus a favorite among people who live in snowy areas and people who prefer some off-pavement driving adventures.

At the highest trim level for the Crosstrek is a plug-in hybrid version. It gets 137 horsepower and can go up to 17 miles of slow-speed driving on electricity alone. The plugin hybrid version gets up to 35 miles per gallon of gasoline. There is no range issue with hybrids because you can always get more gasoline. Also, the gasoline engine charges up the battery, so you will not run out of electricity. The Crosstrek Hybrid will fully charge off of a 120-volt outlet in about five hours. It will charge off of a 240-volt outlet in about two hours.

2023 Subaru Crosstrek Design, Interior and Technology

Along with all-wheel drive, the raised suspension of the Crosstrek helps you navigate snow and head out on off-pavement forays. The exterior is sleek and sporty. The roof rack is not obtrusive but can accommodate kayaks, skis, or bicycles with the right attachment crossbars.

Inside, there is seating for up to five passengers. There is quite a bit of interior space for a subcompact. The rear row of seating can fold down to allow for more storage. Subaru Starlink with Apple and Android wireless integration is standard. Navigation is available, as is a premium audio system for some trim models.

2023 Subaru Crosstrek Safety Features

Subaru includes many safety features in the Crosstrek. EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is optional or standard at all trim levels. It includes a pre-collision braking and throttle management system. There is also a warning issued when you sway out of the lane. EyeSight also includes adaptive cruise control to help you maintain a safe speed and following distance. A rear-vision camera is standard at all trim levels.

2023 Subaru Crosstrek Trim Levels

There are five trim levels for the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek:

  • 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Base - This model comes with a 152-horsepower engine and a manual transmission as standard.
  • 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Premium - This model also has the same engine and transmission as the Base Model. There is the addition of heated front seats, fog lights, and an available power moonroof.
  • 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Sport - The Sport trim model has a 180-horsepower engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
  • 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Limited - Besides the upgrades available in the Sport model, the Limited model has 18-inch alloy wheels and leather-trimmed upholstery.
