- The new Subaru Outback offers standard towing for up to 2,700 pounds while the RAV4 falls short with 1,500 pounds of standard towing. When properly equipped, both vehicles can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
- The Toyota RAV4 offers slightly more fuel economy than the Subaru Outback does. However, you can travel further on a full tank of gas in the Outback thanks to 18.5 gallons of fuel capacity, compared to just 14 gallons in the RAV4.
